Custom single family residence
This modest 3500 sqft home is being commissioned by a family who is relocating from out of state and wanted to build their “forever” home closer to their adult children (and grandchildren!). The home is pursuing Passive House certification through Phius’ Source Zero program, and has already achieved Design Certification. Completed February 2025
Future House Site
Berkshires custom home
We’re in the early planning stages of a new custom home project on a beautiful 13 acre site in southern Berkshire County. Taking the site from raw land, we will help navigate overlapping conservation & wildlife permits with construction breaking ground in 2026. The home will employ Passive House principles, prioritize bio-based materials and non-toxic finishes, and capture distant mountain views.

Affordable Multifamily Passivehouse
Star Contracting & Hue Architecture partnered to respond to a City of Boston RFP to build affordable homeownership units on vacant city lots. We are developing 12 units across three buildings, and construction kicked off in early 2025. The project leverages offsite construction by panelizing the building shells, with each building being fully erected in 14 days. Passive House (Phius) Design Certified.
